Rockwell Laser Restoration grew from something that's been part of our lives for a long time—a love for taking what already exists and making it beautiful, useful, and valuable again.
For me, restoration has always been both a passion and an outlet. I spent more than 30 years building software brands, growing businesses, and developing customer relationships—but outside of work, I was just as happy refinishing furniture, renovating houses, and dreaming up the next project. I've always loved the transformation and meaning behind restoration—the moment when something worn or overlooked begins to reveal what was there all along.
Then life gave us the opportunity to turn that passion into something more.
After getting married, my husband and I bought a home with plenty of projects waiting for us—including one very beautiful, very daunting staircase. While searching for a better way to restore it, we discovered pulsed laser technology. What began as a solution for one project quickly became something much bigger.
Suddenly, we saw the possibilities everywhere—in our own home, in other people's projects, in the equipment and buildings we passed every day, and in conversations with friends, family, and businesses.
Woodwork hidden beneath layers of old finish. Historic details worth protecting. Farm and heavy equipment that could be given new life. Industrial machinery and components with years of service remaining beneath rust, corrosion, and buildup.
It was the perfect intersection of things we already loved and knew well: my passion for restoration and decades of business experience, my husband's engineering mindset and hands-on expertise, and our shared desire to build something meaningful of our own.
